Music Therapy
Music therapy has been shown to be effective in treating a variety of mental illnesses and needs through songwriting, instrumental improvisation, and music-assisted relaxation. Music therapy interventions are determined by your needs, goals, and musical interests, and sessions are specifically tailored to be trauma-informed and promote your personal strengths.
Fleming Music Therapy currently only specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and mental wellness concerns. We hope to expand services soon!
Community Arts Experiences
For hundreds of years, music has been a tool of personal expression, a source for freedom and liberation, and a form of social protest. Fleming Music Therapy believes in engaging with music however you can to build stronger communities. We are happy to work with you to see how music therapy can best support your neighborhood or organization.
When we play music together, we are able to build stronger connections with each other and with ourselves. Let Kyle help you build those stronger connections through a shared musical experience.
Professional Development
Fleming Music Therapy supports music therapists by offering clinical supervision and trainings. Kyle’s experience in training and supervising AMTA National Roster interns and providing therapy to adolescents in residential treatment makes him a valuable resource for new professionals and those who work with adolescents or the mental health population.
Kyle has presented on trauma-informed practice, clinical musicianship, and adolescent mental health at the local, regional, and national level, and would like to bring that experience and expertise to your organization.
