Public Speaking and Clinical Training

Kyle’s presentations are full of humor, active participation, and collective music making.

Kyle has presented at national, regional, and local professional conferences on topics including trauma-informed music therapy practice, clinical musicianship, and developing music therapy programming with adolescents. He is able to explain clinical concepts through leading experiential activities and exploring personal experiences to provide you with the information and tools you need to improve your clinical practice

Kyle also enjoys teaching people what music therapy is and how it can be an effective modality for mental and emotional wellness. Part storytelling and part case study, he has spoken at meetings for various social clubs, including local Rotary International and Ambucs chapters and public speaking events like PechaKucha, to help improve attendees’ understanding of music therapy.

Speaking rates are available upon request and vary depending on length, materials needed, and your organization’s budget. In-kind compensation is available for organizations who are unable to pay the full speaking fee.

 Clinical Supervision

With experience as an AMTA National Roster Internship director and practicum fieldwork supervisor, Kyle is able to help you be a more confident musician and clinician.

Kyle approaches supervision much like he approaches his music therapy sessions: working with you to identify the problem, clarify the goal, and collaborate with you on how to get there. Supervision with Kyle can include insightful conversation, musical exploration, guidance and resources to help you build your clinical skills, or a combination of approaches.

All clinical supervision sessions are offered virtually to work best with your schedule.

Rates start at $120 for professionals/$55 for students for a single 45-minute session. Discounts are available if you set up recurring supervision meetings and/or peer supervision groups of at least three people.
