      <image:title>About Kyle - Kyle Fleming, MMT, MT-BC</image:title>
<image:caption>Kyle (he/him/his) is a board-certified music therapist and the founder of Fleming Music Therapy. He received his Bachelors of Music degree (emphasis in music therapy and minor in psychology) from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA, in 2012, and his Master’s in Music Therapy degree from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, MN, in August 2023. He completed his clinical internship at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, IA, in June 2013, where he worked with older adults in skilled nursing and dementia care. After a brief stint in contractual music therapy work in skilled nursing homes around South Florida, Kyle moved to Champaign-Urbana in July 2014 to work at Cunningham Children’s Home, where he served children and adolescents with trauma histories and mental health diagnoses. While there, he created a series of music therapy treatment curriculums and developed an internship program that was listed on the American Music Therapy Association’s (AMTA) National Internship Roster. He developed Fleming Music Therapy in Champaign, IL, with a vision of being a client-centered, resource-oriented community mental health practice to allow all people, regardless of background, to thrive in their daily lives. He relocated his family and business to the Cedar Valley in the summer of 2022. Kyle is an active member of the American Music Therapy Association, the Midwestern Region of AMTA, and the Iowa Chapter of Music Therapy, and is board certified through the Certification Board for Music Therapists. He has presented at local, regional, and national conferences on topics related to trauma-informed care, improving musicianship skills, and developing music programming for residential treatment agencies. Kyle lives in Waverly with his wife, Maghan, their daughter, and their three pets: Gabe the pug, and cats Jax and Loki. In his free time, Kyle enjoys reading, writing stories and music, practicing magic tricks, and spending time in the woods.</image:caption>

<image:title>Community Music Support Groups - Musical Support Groups for Health Care Workers</image:title>
<image:caption>Health care workers — doctors, nurses, and others — are burning out at high rates, yet the culture of medicine is one where they feel that seeking mental health care could lead to losing their license or ending their career. This musical support group aims to create a space for health care workers to experience and cope with their emotions, create a supportive community, and to help reinstill a sense of hope and purpose in their work.</image:caption>

<image:title>Community Music Support Groups - New Parent Musical Support Group</image:title>
<image:caption>Champaign-Urbana has lots of resources for birthing parents, but virtually none for their non-birthing partners. Goals for this group include identifying and expressing the emotions that come with your new role as parent, practicing emotional self-care during stressful moments, and building a community of other parents you can call on in times of need.</image:caption>
